"Bulgarian Woman 1" is part of my series of paintings "Bulgarian Women," dedicated to the beauty, spirit, and identity of the Bulgarian woman. In this work, I wanted to portray not a specific person, but a symbolic image – a woman embodying tenderness, purity, strength, and a connection to Bulgarian traditions.

The large green eyes are the center of the composition – they express both softness and inner resilience. The white veil is reminiscent of traditional Bulgarian women's attire and symbolizes purity, spirituality, and feminine energy. The flowers and soft colors around the image create a sense of nature, life, and harmony.

The "Bulgarian Women" series is my artistic homage to the Bulgarian woman – guardian of the home, traditions, and beauty passed down through generations. Each painting in the series conveys a different mood and character, but all are united by the idea of the Bulgarian spirit, femininity, and the light a woman carries within herself.
